Half-time
This went pretty fast: Half of my first year here in Spilimbergo is over.
I learned mosaic making at the traditional and unique school ‘Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli’, in the north of Venice. Here, you can find all the blog posts in which I reported on my experiences during my apprenticeship in the north of Italy.

Today we went to a lovely place with coloured slate and crystal clear water.
In the second week after the holidays we have returned to routine with new energy and continue our group work.
Suggestions for the efficient work with martellina and tagliolo.
At the end of the year it’s time to look back. And gain an insight into what awaits me in the future.
This week, tables, chairs and ceppi were moved: We have started our first group work!
This week we have tested the effect of individual colour combinations by mixing tessere made of coloured paper.
A little suggestion for all future visitors of the school.
Started my next project in direct technique!
Some years ago new students here in Spilimbergo had a tough life.
After the precise indirect method we are now having an exercise on the traditional technique.
Form a mosaic substrate easily with cement and sand.
This week we had a small cookery course. No, we didn’t prepare stone soup.
