Mosaic hammer basics: Martelline workshop for beginners

Last week it was time again: In the mosaic workshop The Basics, my participants learned to work with the mosaic hammer.

First of all, the drawing of the andamenti and copying of those mosaic guidelines was on the agenda. Afterwards, my students searched for the right material for their own motif and created a color scale.

After a few training sessions with marble, the two also approached smalts and pebbles.

I am amazed every time, how well absolute mosaic hammer beginners master the tool at the end of the course and am really proud of the results!
